DeFord Flutes

DeFord flutes are completely redesigned and engineered from the basic diatonic scale, simply this means that DeFord flutes are in tune for the beginner or advanced player. No longer will it be necessary to “favor” certain notes.

The name DeFord on a flute or piccolo signifies that the instrument is a product of the years of research of Emerson L. DeFord, with all the improvements and refinements implied. It must be understood that flutes and piccolos bearing the name “Emerson” are produced by others not under my control. They are not DeFord instruments.

Mr. DeFord has passed the half century of flute design and manufacturing, and still doing extensive research on improving all types of flutes.
