Slides

The trombone slide constitutes more than 50 percent of the length of the tubing of the instrument. It is not surprising that so much attention should be given to the slide.

This part may be customised by choosing bore sizes, material, and choice of duo bores. The materials may be offset (meaning that it may be made of a combination of yellow brass and red brass and vice versa). The shape of the crook can be critical and can be chosen to provide different characteristics e.g. squared crook etc.
