Oboe
This oboe was encountered during our search for a suitable replacement for the American plastic instruments. Not only did we find a replacement, but we found a better oboe having more facilities and manufactured from grenadilla wood.
Grenadilla wood (Dalbergia Melanoxylon) or African Black wood comes from temperate climate areas in South Africa such as Malawi. In years past it was sometimes termed ebony.
As a bonus and due to the favourable exchange rates in Europe the instrument is less expensive.
