Pointed Pivot Screw

The Yanagisawa hinge rods are supported by pointed pivot screws. Yes, this is a more expensive construction than the adjustable pivot screws used by some manufacturers.

The pointed locking pivot screw has a shoulder locking onto the machined receptacle providing perfection in the positioning of the screw during the course of a repair operation. This provides for the return of the screw to it's custom built position whenever the Yanagisawa saxophone is dissembled and reassembled.

Each key on each Yanagisawa saxophone is hand fitted by the meticulous and loyal Yanagisawa staff, to the individual saxophone providing for silent trouble free mechanical stability over the life of the saxophone.
